Eureka was formed by producer, arranger and musician Matt Williams to showcase local artists he has worked with over the years.
Matt Williams | Roger Williamson | Doug Kearney | Rick Wagner
Matt Williams, drums
Matt started working in New York City in 1976 at the age of sixteen. After several years of jingles, recording sessions and live performance in local theatre and nightclub venues, Matt relocated to Los Angeles in 1979. There he honed his interest in producing and arranging, working with Bobby Caldwell, Don Henley, Stevie Nicks, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, The Plimsouls, Morris Day and the Time, Mike Campbell (of Tom Petty's band and Traveling Wilburys fame), Quincy Jones, Sony recording artist Keb Mo' and others.
In 1994 Matt decided to make his home in Washington and has since enjoyed working with local artists Dick Powell, Little Bill, Fat James, Mark Whitman, B.I.G. (Blues Industry Giants), The Fabulous Cyclones, The Alley Cats, Tim Hall, Nicole fournier, Cat Morrison, Roger Rogers and others.

Roger Williamson, guitar
Spawned like a salmon in the great northwest, Roger got his first taste of live performance at a tiny radio station in Puyallup, WA with the local church group singing hymns around a single microphone. This experience left its mark and today Roger feels as comfortable in front of a microphone as anywhere.
Roger has performed with a myriad of acts, the bulk of his experience coming with The Fabulous Cyclones and the "Wolfman" Keith Wohlford. Blues and rock with lots of surprises! The changing millennium saw Roger on a three year tour of duty with Atlantis, playing all those powerful hits of the eighties.
By the summer of 2003, Roger was ready to put his musical ideas down on tape, so he teamed up with long time friend and drummer Matt Williams and together they came up with "Pearl," a collection of songs wrapped around the title cut written for Roger's loving mother. Matt produced the album, and called in some of the finest musicians in the Seattle area.
Now, as an excellent addition to Eureka, Roger is having more fun than ever. Mixing up all sorts of influences and styles he is determined to give the folks their money's worth in the form of great dancing and hard rocking tunes.

Doug Kearney, guitar
Born and raised in the heart of Louisiana, Doug picked up his first guitar at the tender age of 10 and by 16 he was playing his first gigs. At 18 he began working in bars, traveling the crawfish circuit, and doing concerts and festivals throughout Louisiana and Texas.
Immersed in southern blues, jazz, country, texas swing and swamp music Kearney began to develop his own unique style. With influences from Duane Allman and Lowell George he started writing and developed a true passion for slide guitar.
After working in the South for 13 years, Doug moved to the Northwest in 1986. Working the greater Seattle club scene afforded him the musical freedom to explore various creative avenues. This is where his desire for writing original material blossomed, and his unique and soulful style of guitar playing, singing and song-writing evolved.
Most recognize Kearney by his funky rhythm-based blues, sultry slide guitar and clean cutting edge sound.
Now, once again Doug is stepping outside the box adding his definitive sound to Eureka, and the guys are glad to have him.

Rick Wagner, bass
Every now and then, out of the thousands of garage bands and jam night heroes, there emerges someone who really has the touch. One shining example of this is bass player Rick Wagner. Rick has been quietly working his way onto stages here in the northwest for several years now, and has been seen in the company of folks like Randy Oxford, Roger Rogers, Fat James and others, and was a member of Six Pack of Blues.
Then, about a year ago, Rick was spotted by bass-hungry Eureka! He was quickly put to work, and given a crash course in on-stage rehearsals. His enthusiasm and hard working attitude, coupled with his natural grand canyon groove, make Rick the perfect addition to the Eureka line-up.
